Introducing the Affordable TCOM Accipiter® Aerostat
Maritime Surveillance System
Accipiter Radar
Technologies Inc (Accipiter) and TCOM LP announced today the
introduction of a new, affordable, wide-area, maritime surveillance radar system
that combines the persistence, maturity and superiority of the proven TCOM 32M
class of Aerostat's with the light-weight, high-performance Accipiter® Security
Radar. Flying at up to 3,000', the
Accipiter® radar payload provides all-weather, day-night, situational awareness
of vessels out to 125 km (75 mi). Radar
target information available in the ground station below supports local or
remote operation. It can be integrated
with other Aerostat and land-based sensors to provide a wide-area surveillance
network covering coastlines and water borders. With the addition of an integrated camera and communications suite, the
32M Accipiter® Aerostat becomes a complete command and control system.
