Environmental assessments must be based on accurate and complete information. Accipiter® Avian Radar information networks provide a permanent record of all the flying biological targets it detects and tracks, day and night. These records are organized into a built-in, M3™ information system which, when combined with the associated target analytics, can be used to select sites for development, such as wind farms and airfields, while avoiding sites that are environmentally sensitive. Because they are permanent records, they can be incorporated into reports and other documentation.

Nighttime records provide information on locations of migrants and foraging bats, whereas daytime records document habitat use of species of special interest. In these situations Accipiter® Avian Radar information networks complements visual observations by providing continuous coverage over a larger area while visual observations provide details on the species.
