Border Security Products
Border enforcement professionals ensure the safety of their country’s citizens by securing its borders against illegal activity, dangerous goods and high-risk individuals. Accipiter® Security Radars assist in this vital mission through a force-multiplier enhancement that provides 24/7, wide-area situational awareness of the movements of people, vehicles, vessels or aircraft in the areas between designated ports of entry. Accipiter technology also empowers interagency effectiveness - a critical component in today's border enforcement world.
The sheer magnitude of the border enforcement task places challenging demands on border surveillance solutions. For example, the United States and Canada share thousands of kilometers of common border including almost 4,000 km of marine border in the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes Region. The US has 12,000 km of international border and nearly 20,000 km of coastline. Accipiter’s M3™ information system uses standard networks to connect and integrate large numbers of unattended radars into a wide-area surveillance network that can deliver target information to a central operations center, mobile units or anywhere else the information is needed. Remote-controlled operation, system monitoring and maintenance means that large numbers of radar sites can be operated with minimal personnel and travel costs. Real-time target data with automated threat alerting capability provides tactical support for operations and immediate response, while 24/7/365 stored data, accurately tagged with time and position, is kept indefinitely for exploitation by the M3™ toolset to support intelligence and investigative analysis.
Sensor integration includes camera options that build on the radar's ability to accurately locate and track targets and to thereafter cue and focus day or night-vision cameras on targets of interest for identification, threat assessment for officer safety, and evidence generation.
The Accipiter® Security Radar product family includes a number of mature, standard radar systems engineered and configured to meet typical requirements associated with border security applications. Each system includes our patented M3™ target information system featuring an open sensor and network architecture for flexibility and scalability, protecting your investment for future growth and changing requirements. A wide range of platform, transceiver, antenna and information system options allow our engineers to customize solutions to meet your particular mission and user requirements.
Tower-mounted installations provide persistent surveillance. Vehicle-mounted systems can be deployed quickly for special events or as gap fillers for localized operations.
