Dr. Nohara is an internationally recognized surveillance expert, with a Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D in electrical & computer engineering, a licensed professional engineer and a member of the IEEE. He is the author of numerous peer reviewed technical publications, reports and patents in surveillance. He founded Accipiter Radar over 30 years ago. Under his direction, Accipiter has successfully pioneered user-friendly, radar-based, collaborative, decision support solutions that allow safety & security practitioners along with business stakeholders to understand what is happening in their outdoor environments, be it in the air, on the water, or on land.
Thomas brings a wealth of leadership experience in public, private & private equity-backed enterprises and has led start-up, medium and large-scale industrial technology companies. At Accipiter, he is responsible for our overall sales, operations & transformational activities as well as corporate services. Thomas holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Niagara College and executive certificates in Sales & Operations Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Simon Jerome, VP Sales & Marketing at Accipiter, is responsible for building sustainable revenue, through market positioning, strategic global partnerships and customer driven solutions. With thirty-five years of experience and a proven track record of implementing marketing and business development programs world-wide, Simon champions customer service and cultivates strong account management for sustained business success. His life-long passion for the surveillance industry has made him a trusted knowledge base and novel problem solver.
Mark leads Accipiter’s US business in his role as Managing Director and Client Services, which is responsible for global customer satisfaction and system performance. Mark has an MBA in Organization Strategy and Business Law from the University of Rochester and a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to joining Accipiter, Mark worked at Moog in East Aurora, NY and held various leadership positions within Moog’s Aircraft and Space and Defense Groups.
Darryl is Accipiter’s VP Finance & Administration. A Brock University business graduate (B.B.A. ‘95), he joined Accipiter’s parent company, Sicom Systems Ltd, in 1995. Having been with the related companies for thirty years, he has played an important part in the growth of the business. As an SME manufacturer and exporter with operations in Canada and the USA, Darryl oversees Accipiter’s financial management and leads the complex regulatory and trade compliance, and safety and security programs.
Nick joined Accipiter in 2008 and became the company’s Chief Legal Officer in 2014. He holds a master’s degree in law and draws on four decades of broad legal experience. A member of the Law Society of Ontario, he also holds a certificate in Business for Lawyers. Before joining Accipiter, Nick was a Managing Lawyer for a large private legal insurer and corporate counsel for a number of businesses including a small resource company.
Sean Clifford oversees the company’s fulfilment functions spanning Project Management, Production, Field Services, Quality, and Bid Development. With over seventeen years of experience in engineering, operations, and leadership, he has driven ISO9001 certification, established enterprise-wide project management practices, and delivered complex technology projects worldwide. Sean is recognized for building high-performing teams and driving operational excellence to support organizational growth.
Katy Koornneef CPA, CA, Director of Finance, leads the financial and accounting activities of Accipiter, providing the essential financial metrics for executive decision making and managing all fiscal functions. A Chartered Professional Accountant with over fifteen years of accounting experience in public and private accounting, Katy is well-suited to supporting Accipiter in achieving its strategic and financial goals.
