Quality Assurance Coordinator (Full-Time)
Accipiter Radar provides smart surveillance & decision support products and services that improve safety & security in the Aviation, Environmental Protection & Homeland Security markets. We are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator reporting day-to-day to the Director of Fulfillment, to join our small but growing team at our Pelham, Ontario headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Position Summary
The QA Coordinator supports Quality compliance covering ISO 9001 quality management standards, risk management, and regulatory adherence. The role is responsible for generating and implementing quality assurance standards, conducting quality audits and leading problem reporting and resolution activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Internal Audits: Support the internal audit process, including preparation, scheduling, conducting audits, and following up on findings.
- Document Control: Maintain and update QMS documents, ensuring accurate creation, distribution, and archiving of procedures, instructions, forms, reports, and technical documents.
- Change Management: Track and manage document revisions and approval processes, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Corrective & Preventive Actions: Initiate, track, and resolve corrective and preventive actions based on monitoring activities.
- Training: Create, deliver and support training on QA processes and procedures.
- Record Management: Support record maintenance and retention in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in processes, systems, and workflows to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Key Performance Indicators: Develop, track, and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the quality management system.
- Reporting: Provide reports and data analysis to stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Quality Assurance Manufacturing Technician/Technologist or Engineering Degree.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ hands-on experience leading quality and compliance.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt), Quality Auditor and/or Quality Technician/Engineer (ASQ or AQI Certification preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of quality management system (QMS) principles based on ISO 9001
- Strong organizational, communication, collaboration and technical writing skills.
- Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
- Proficiency in document management and record retention.
- Ability to track KPIs and manage compliance tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
- Experience with Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira) is highly beneficial
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- A team player able to coordinate cross-functionally across the organization
- A continual improvement mindset

- Job Type: Full-time (up to 40 hours per week) between M-F 9am – 5pm
- Compensation: Competitive wages commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience, and attractive benefits package.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with our development team, in a technically challenging and rewarding role.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Position Summary
Software developers implement software solutions by collaborating with other developers, designers, product managers, and engineers to leverage and create new cutting-edge technologies, building upon our patented Radar Intelligence Network™ (RIN) Platform Technology. Software developers work on a variety of front-end and backend technologies that enable radar and other IoT-based data to be streamed, analyzed and visualized via our Surveillance-to-Intelligence™ (S2I) product suite.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate on system architecture and design decisions.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of applications.
- Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
- Optimize frontend performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
- Develop and maintain APIs and server-side logic using technologies like Go and Python.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation features.
- Design and optimize relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) databases.
- Write efficient queries and manage data migrations.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor application health and performance; handle logging and error tracking.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Task break down and estimation.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.
- Identify areas for improvement in codebase, processes, and team workflows.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar program from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 3 years software development experience (includes co-op experience), exhibiting a growing area of expertise.
- Experience developing software in a team-based environment.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent programming skills in any of the following languages (or similar): Go, Python, C#, C++
- Experience developing and deploying applications on Linux and Windows.
- Experience with Agile methodology including best practices in software development, testing, and continuous integration.
- A pragmatic approach to the application of technology to create business solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in both in-office and remote (work from home) environments.

- Knowledge of GIS, including geo-referenced data and web-based geospatial visualization
- Familiarity with Azure or other cloud-based platforms.
