Canadian Sales Executive

Accipiter Radar is hiring an outside Sales Executive for promotion of its products and services for aviation safety, critical infrastructure protection and public safety applications. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for the promotion, opportunity development and revenue bearing sales to private industry, provincial, territorial & federal government bodies throughout Canada.

With at least 5 years of proven business to business, and business to government sales, you will utilize your experience and contacts to develop opportunities for presentation, specification and negotiation leading to sales of Accipiter’s situational awareness and decision support surveillance systems for use in providing security and safety monitoring and alerting at critical infrastructure locations such as power generating stations, hydro-electric plants, prisons, ports and airports.

As the Sales Executive for the Canadian sales territory, you will travel coast to coast, meeting prospective customers, providing presentations & demonstrations and assisting customers with establishing system requirements and negotiating opportunities.

With the Vice President of Sales & Marketing you will work to develop new sales strategies as well as providing competitive feature and capability requirements and feedback from existing and prospective customers to assist in the continual development roadmap of our products.

You will form an integral part of the Accipiter sales team, interacting with department colleagues, attending monthly sales meetings online or at the corporate headquarters in Ontario, Canada.

The Sales Executive will develop a solid understanding of Accipiter’s products and services, our unique technologies and capabilities, and competitive advantages to leverage customer requirements leading to opportunity development and influence.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of relationships leading to revenue bearing contract awards of Accipiter Radar’s products and services to both private industry and government entities in Canada
  • Reach or exceed periodically assigned sales goals and revenue targets
  • Cultivate a targeted list of customers within the designated sales territory
  • Implement a top-down sales strategy targeting Presidents, CEOs, CFOs and responsible managers to convert prospects into clients
  • Establish, book and attend meetings and deliver presentations to key decision makers throughout the territory
  • Assist with the preparation of quotations, RFIs, RFQs, bids and tenders for sales opportunities developed or received within the territory.
  • Attend conferences, exhibitions and other related events within the territory
  • Attend monthly sales meetings online or at Accipiter’s Headquarters in Ontario, Canada as directed
  • Comply with all reporting systems showing continual progress, developing a comprehensive and growing pipeline of opportunities and success planning for each.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of outside B2B / B2G sales experience, with proven proficiency in prospecting, selling, technical presentation skills, territory management and meeting year over year sales quotas.
  • Proven track record in sales of technology products including security systems, safety management systems, information technology products, software platforms or radar systems in Canada.
  • Valid Driving License
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Canada and the US on occasions.
  • Fluency in English language with French language proficiency a benefit.

COMPENSATION:

Base salary + commission – based on experience

Accipiter Radar IT Specialist

As an IT Specialist at Accipiter Radar, you will be an integral part of our IT team, working to support the development and maintenance of our client and user systems, interact with department colleagues, and regularly attend meetings at our Canadian corporate headquarters in Niagara, Ontario. The IT Specialist will be a highly motivated, proactive, and flexible professional with a solid background in fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures relating to the support of Microsoft and Linux-based systems.

 

Reporting to our Facility & IT Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting development and maintenance of client and user systems related to a broad range of business areas
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop technical and specialized solutions to complex IT problems involving Microsoft-based software products, including Exchange, Dynamics CRM, and Microsoft’s Office 365 suite
  • Recommending process improvements to ensure system reliability, scalability, security, integrity, and performance
  • Hardware and software installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting
  • Providing daily support to the IT department and other departments as required
  • Other duties and responsibilities as necessary from time to time

 

You are someone who has:

  • Relevant College/University/Industry diploma/degree/certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, with preference for greater experience
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in Windows and Microsoft software, including MS Office, Exchange
  • Expertise in hardware maintenance including servers, workstation, printers
  • Extensive knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, firewalls)

Software Developer

Ideal Skills and Experience:

Marketing Assistant

As part of our continued company growth, we are expanding our sales and marketing team. We are looking for a Marketing Assistant for our Canadian corporate headquarters in Niagara, Ontario. As an integral part of the Accipiter team, you will work on site, assisting the Sales, Marketing & PR Coordinator under the direction of the VP Sales and Marketing. You will be responsible for supporting sales and marketing tasks including preparation and maintenance of advertising and sales collateral, conference and event attendance logistics and follow-up, maintaining printed product materials and other promotional items as required, and providing general assistance to members of the Sales and Marketing team. This is a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities will include:

• Creating marketing/advertising content and sales collateral in video, print, digital and other medias as directed for use across various platforms and media outlets • Organizing and executing all requirements for successful participation of department attendees at conferences, events and other functions, which may include pre- and post-attendance administration, correspondence, shipping, advertising, contact list preparation and lead follow-up • Organizing and maintaining printed materials for various company departments, including ensuring material is inventoried, created, ordered and ready for use • Maintaining and archiving corporate and third-party image and video records to ensure compliance with all copyright and legal standards • Monitoring and investigating business opportunities and market developments including general media outlets, tender search engines, press releases and government initiatives • Assisting with website administration, analytics and enquiries • Supporting sales and marketing initiatives as directed

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• 3-year degree/diploma in marketing, communications, media or graphic design or minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a Marketing and Communications function, including experience with online and social media marketing

• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with:

  • Adobe Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and PremierPro
  • MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and public relations skills

• Additional required abilities include:
