ACCIPITER RADAR is seeking a dynamic professional to join our Client Services team as a Client Service Representative in our Orchard Park, NY office. At Accipiter, we aim to provide a world-class customer support experience. Our clients rely on our systems to make critical decisions about their operations and our client services team ensures that our customers can rely on our products when it matters most. We are looking for a team-oriented, customer service driven individual who puts our clients’ needs first. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to provide technical support, answer questions, and resolve customer issues with ease. In addition, the successful candidate will be very comfortable navigating and troubleshooting computer-based and network-based products and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound communication with customers
- Identify and address customer needs and facilitate problem resolution
- Build dynamic knowledge of the company’s products and services
- Engage with customers in an inviting, friendly, and professional manner to deliver exceptional experiences and build lasting relationships
- Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to customer inquiries
- Maintain documentation of issues and resolution
- Provide technical support to customers during normal business hours, along with after-hours on-call technical support as needed
- Proactive health monitoring and checking of our distributed system infrastructure
- Respond to failure or impending failure of systems (diagnosis and remediation)
- Work with internal and 3rd party field support staff to coordinate and assist with installation, maintenance and repair activities of our distributed system infrastructure
- Support Information Technology needs at our US office in coordination with our Canadian headquarters
- Developing and delivering training on our products and services
Required skills and qualifications
- BS Degree or college diploma equivalent in Information Technology, Business or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant customer service and/or IT experience in a corporate environment
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear articulation, and strong writing skills with attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems, alleviate conflicts, and escalate tactfully
- Quick learner with ability to multitask, manage time, and prioritize
- Able to work well as part of a team and take ownership of individual tasks with a great deal of independence
- Energetic, positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Strong knowledge of computer and embedded hardware systems
- Experience with networking and remote access technologies
- Comfortable asking for help or clarity if/when needed and has high attention to detail
- Proactively identifies and proposes solutions to problems
- Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Experience with Atlassian Suite of software products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
- Experience developing training content
- Experience working with large databases, conducting data analysis, or report writing an asset
- US Citizen – ability to obtain government security clearances

ACCIPITER RADAR is seeking a Production Technician with 2+ years of experience to join our team at our Fenwick, Ontario facility. Accipiter Radar operates under a robust quality management system and is in the process of seeking ISO9001 certification, ensuring our commitment to quality across all operations. As part of our Production team, you will be involved in the design, assembly, diagnostics, repair, and field installation/deployment of the Accipiter® family of radar products. Reporting to the Production and Field Services Manager, you will work both independently and collaboratively with the various functions within the Fulfilment department to ensure high-quality production and service support.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded computer product assembly and diagnostics and must be available and willing to travel across North America for field installations and maintenance. You will also need strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to contribute effectively to our team and operations.
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and test production components in accordance with engineering design documentation and best practices.
- Assemble, test, and debug computer, radar, RF, electrical, and mechanical products.
- Solder PCBs, crimp wires, and manufacture cables.
- Conduct electrical testing using appropriate instrumentation.
- Read, create (using CAD software), and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Research, source, and maintain parts and components.
- Perform machining tasks and work with hand and power tools.
- Work in both Windows and Linux/Unix environments and use the Microsoft Office suite.
- Apply basic computer networking skills.
- Assist with the creation of clear and concise process and technical documentation.
- Contribute to product design, development, and implementation.
- Assist with radar testing and R&D work as directed.
- Work collaboratively with other functions in the organization as required.
- Consistently demonstrate strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Support the company’s ISO9001 Quality Management System.
- Promote and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, obtaining and maintaining certifications and training as required.
- Perform shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and technical support.
- Travel to customer sites across North America to install and maintain fielded systems.
- Carry out other production-related activities, including repair of components and troubleshooting of defective items
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of an Electronics Engineering program or equivalent education, covering computer concepts, digital systems, embedded system design, Digital Signal Processing, and communications and networking.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in production or a related technical field.
- Experience with embedded computer product assembly, testing, and debugging.
- Proficiency in soldering, wire crimping, and cable manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Experience with electrical testing tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix environments and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel across North America for system installations and maintenance.
- Must be eligible for, and able to obtain, satisfactory Controlled Goods security clearance and Level II personnel security clearance from the Canadian Contract Security Program.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and basic computer networking.
- Experience working in an ISO9001 certified environment.
- Ability to specify and select appropriate hardware, fasteners (etc.) according to application and industry standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair fielded systems in real-time environments.
